Golden Week is a week long holiday where many Japanese Workers(including  Manga writers) gets a week off around the end of April and beginning of May.

The Golden Week starts as on April 29, a national holiday celebrated as the Birthday of Emperor Showa, who passed away in 1989.

The word “Golden Week” was first used by movie companies to get people  to take advantage of “Golden” opportunity to watch a movie with family. The term gradually become popular and now is used refer the string of holidays.

Also this year’s Golden Week has been extended to 10 days to celebrate the succession new Emperor of Japan.

It’s quite unfortunate for fans as the they will need to wait a extra extra for next chapter when the manga is in such a crucial point. In the last chapter (Black Clover Chapter 203) things turned out to be pretty interesting when Nero revealed her true identity and successfully broke the seal of First Wizard King.

But on a positive note it will give Yuki Tabata and his team spend along with other Manga writers to spend some quality time with their family, restore theirs health and have some sound sleeps after a long time. The Golden Weeks holds a important place in manga writers life as they finally get to a week off their tedious work schedule which is usually of 12-18 hours a day.
