Genshin Impact has gained global popularity since its global release last September. The game offers heaps of playable content, with the open world of Teyvat holding lore and treasure waiting to be uncovered. One such boss is Andrius, the Wolf-King of the North. Players first encounters him during the Razor’s Story Quest “The Meaning of Lupical”. Andrius is the king of wolves, and one of the four winds who once stood up against the tyrannical rule of Decarabian, the God of Storms during the Archon War.

1. Had the chance to become the Anemo Archon
After defeating Decarabian during the Archon War, Andrius had the chance to become the first Anemo Archon. However, Andrius considered himself unworthy of becoming the Anemo Archon due to his perceived lack of love for humanity that an Archon ought to have. Realizing his blizzards could only take hurt others and not nourish them, he decides to give up his physical form die while his powers flowed into the land of Mondstadt to nourish it, making Venti the Anemo Archon.

2. Recived powers from an Ancient God
Andrius wasn’t born a god. He was a normal wolf until an ancient God granted him powers ascending him to Godhood.
A noble soul that watches over Wolvendom. When the safety of the wolves is threatened, it will take the form of a wolf and bare its fangs and claws. It is said that its powers were given to it by an ancient god.

3. Named derived from Greek mythology
Andrius” other name Boreas Lupas is derived from the Greek God Boreas who is the God of North Wind, directly relating to Andrius being the representative of the North amongst the Four Winds.
4. Name based on the Demon
Following the theme of all gods in Genshin Impact named after demons in Ars Goetia, Andrius’s name is likely derived from Andrealphus, the 65th demon. Barbotas.
Other God names such as Barbotas, Morax, Baal, Paimon are directly taken from the Ars Goetia, meanwhile, Orobashi (serpent God of Enkanomiya) is derived from Orobas, and Istaroth (Time of God and founder of New Mondstadt) from Astaroth.
