Popular mixed- media franchise Hypnosis Mic is finally receiving an anime adaptation this July titled “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima“. The official website to Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima recently unveiled a new promo video and key visual along with details regarding Release Date.

The trailer introduces us to the our vibrant cast of rappers and their voice actors. The franchise’s cast members are reprising their original roles in the Tv anime. The cast members are The Hypnosis Mic performers are Ikebukuro Division Busters Bros voiced by Subaru Kimura, Haruki Ishiya, Kōhei Amasaki. Yokohama Division Mad Trigger Crew voiced by Shintarō Asanuma, Wataru Komada, Shin’ichirō Kamio, Shibuya Division Fling Posse voiced by Yusuke Shirai, Sōma Saitō, Yukihiro Nozuyama. Shinjuku Division Matenrō voiced by Sho Hayami, Ryūichi Kijima, Kent Itō.
The promo also previews the opening theme “Hypnosis Mic -Rhyme Anima” performed by franchise’s Division All Stars. franchise’s Division All Stars wrote the lyrics, music and arrangements.

A-1 pictures (Kaguya-Sama) is animating the music project with Katsumi Ono as director. Black Butler‘s Minako Shiba is providing Character designs for animation. Meanwhile Yu-Gi-Oh!‘s Shin Yoshida is in charge of scripts writing.

Hypnosis mic is a mixed multimedia project by King records under their Evil Line Records label. The characters were designed by Idea Factory under their Otomate label. Hypnosis Mic’s first full album Enter the Hypnosis Microphone launched on April 24. The group earnedthe top spot as the most popular voice actor Twitter account in Japan for 2018. The franchise includes multiple manga adaptions, stage plays, live events and a mobile game.
Hypnosis mic takes place in a world where women have taken over ruling politics in the Chuo ward and have banned and destroyed weapons. This has caused men to fight through rap battles using Hypnosis Mics, which can be used to affect people’s sympathetic nerves and influence their thought process. However, the legendary rap group, The Dirty Dawg, has split up into four groups, each representing a division of Tokyo, Japan and engaging in territorial battles using words and the Hypnosis Mics.
The series inspired a Tv anime by studio A1-pictures scheduled for July 2020 release.
