What sets AnimeNewsAndFacts apart?

Founded in 2019 by our dedicated founder, Shubham, AnimeNewsAndFacts initially aimed to educate fans about various anime facts, trivia, and behind-the-scenes insights into anime production.

Over time, our website expanded to become a comprehensive platform, offering a wide range of content related to anime and manga. Throughout its 4-year tenure, AnimeNewsAndFacts has garnered over 15 million views and satisfied over 12 million readers.

Our analysis takes into account various factors such as production details, profitability, and popularity metrics. By examining sales figures, availability of source material, and series performance among domestic and international audiences, we provide statistically backed answers, avoiding baseless speculations.
  2. Trusted News Source: Over the years, our Twitter account has amassed a large following of 150k anime fans. This makes us one of the most trusted sources for anime news and leaks on the platform. Notably, we have been repeatedly recognized as a reliable news source by websites like Sportskeeda, Comicbook, CBR, Epicstream, and Hitc, among others.
  3. Anime Facts: Our primary goal is to provide anime fans with engaging and entertaining facts and trivia about their favourite anime and manga. We continuously strive to deliver captivating content, including fascinating insights into series such as “A Silent Voice” and “Neon Genesis Evangelion.”
  4. Legitimate News: AnimeNewsAndFacts was initially established as a platform to provide accurate and reliable news to anime fans. In the past, there was an abundance of misinformation in the growing anime industry, largely due to language barriers, cultural differences, and a lack of understanding regarding anime production. We took it upon ourselves to address these issues and deliver genuine news, debunking common misconceptions. Since our inception in 2019, we have played a crucial role in introducing positive changes within the anime journalism landscape.
  5. Recommendations: If you’ve just finished watching an anime and are searching for something new, AnimeNewsAndFacts has got you covered. We offer a comprehensive list of recommendations for manhwa, manga, and anime titles, ensuring you always have exciting options to explore.
  6. Lists and Surveys: We regularly conduct surveys among both local and international anime fans to provide insights into the popularity of various anime among different demographics. Our lists and survey reports offer valuable perspectives on how Japanese and non-Japanese fans perceive different anime series.
  7. Release Schedule: Our release schedule feature was initially an experiment to help anime fans find a centralized source for all their favourite anime’s release dates, timings, and streaming information. It all began with our first feature on SIU’s Tower of God anime adaptation. Over the years, this feature has become one of our most beloved types of articles, providing our readers with up-to-date information about their most anticipated anime releases.

Our Backstory (Luckily not as sad as Naruto’s):

Hey, it’s Shubham here!

I started AnimeNewsAndFacts in 2019, right when I was about to begin my college journey. The idea for this blog came to mind during my time on Amino Apps, a popular and modern social media forum where users could discuss their favourite anime, movies, books, series, hobbies, and more. Amino Apps had unique features that I hadn’t seen on any other social media platform, such as the ability to create quizzes, engage in roleplaying, and even have a screening room.

It was there that I discovered the joy of researching the behind-the-scenes aspects of my favourite anime and manga series, along with fun trivia, and discussing them with other members. Inspired by this experience, I decided to create a blog that would summarize these fun facts and make them easily accessible to the wider online community.

Another reason behind starting this blog was my frustration with the limited information available at the time. Many anime journalists, who primarily covered American movies and series, were not well aware of the nuances and differences in the Japanese animation industry. This lack of understanding often led to confusion within the network.

I wanted to make a change and provide anime fans with legitimate anime news from credible sources. Additionally, I was already working as a part-time anime content writer at omnitos.com for two years, but I realized that I wouldn’t be able to make a significant impact by only writing about popular series like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Fairy Tail.

With two years of experience in my hands and lots of free time (cause who actually studies at college), I took a leap of faith and started my own blog, AnimeNewsAndFacts, with the aim of providing anime fans with legitimate anime news from cited sources. Alongside news coverage, my goal was to provide recommendations, statistics, explanations of anime production details, and, of course, Anime Facts. Recently I have also been featured as one of the Best Anime Journalists and Editors by Feedspot.

Later, I was joined by my school friend Reubin, who already had experience working as an anime blogger at OtakuKart and Otakuverse and brought in the technical expertise, helping me scale this hobby blog to what it is today.

Over the years, AnimeNewsAndFacts has grown to become one of the prominent anime editorial websites, serving and assisting 12 million readers over the course of the last four years. We continue to expand our horizons and provide valuable content to the anime community.

I am incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received over the years, and I hope you will continue to support us on our journey.
